Homeless Registry Week next week in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Kern County Homeless Collaborative will conduct a census next week, creating a registry of local unsheltered homeless people and prioritizing the most vulnerable for help with housing and services.

The group held a training session Thursday night.

"So that we can prioritize the ones that are the weakest and most vulnerable and try to house up to 12 of them," said Louis Medina of the Homeless Collaborative in describing the purpose of Registry Week.
