BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A crash Tuesday evening killed a man and shut down traffic in both directions on Chester Avenue between Brundage Lane and 2nd Street.
A motorcycle rider, identified Wednesday morning as 22-year-old Mynor Adolfo Canchan-Barrios, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
The driver of an SUV that hit Canchan-Barrios kept going, but a witness followed him and police eventually caught up to him.
The Tahoe driver, 57-year-old Jose Arreyque-Andrade, was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run, driving with a suspended license and vehicular manslaughter.
