Fleeing car strikes bus in LA, injuring 2 children

LOS ANGELES (AP) — A car being chased by police has struck a bus in South Los Angeles, slightly injuring two children.

Police Officer Bruce Borihanh says an officer tried to stop the car around 10:45 a.m. Friday but it took off. He says the chase lasted about 40 seconds before the car hit a private bus carrying 50 children on an outing.

Borihanh says two children complained of pain. They were examined and then released to their parents.

The driver, described as a man in his 50s, was arrested on suspicion of evading police.
