BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A former assistant coach at Garces Memorial High School was sentenced Tuesday in Kern County court to 185 days incarceration and three years probation for sex with an underage girl.

The court website shows Jon Aleczander Sweet has credit for 186 days served, including 93 days good behavior.

Sweet was 25 years old when he was arrested this spring for having an ongoing sexual relationship with a 17-year-old Garces student. Sweet was found in possession of several nude photographs of the girl, according to a police report.

Earlier this month, Sweet pleaded no contest to one count of unlawful sexual intercourse. Two other counts of the same charge were dismissed.
