Deputies think carjacking, stabbings are related

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Kern County detectives believe a carjacking and stabbings are connected, but they're not sure how, yet.

A woman's Honda was carjacked around 2 a.m. Monday on the 3100 block of Niles Street in east Bakersfield.

Deputies searched the area and came across three men and one 17-year-old boy, all suffering from stab wounds. None of their injuries were considered to be life-threatening, the sheriff's office said.

The people who were stabbed refused to cooperate with deputies. Their names were withheld.

Anyone with information helpful to the investigation is asked to call the sheriff's office at (661) 861-3110 or send an anonymous text tip to TIP411 (847411). Type the keyword "KCSO" prior to the message.
