MENDOTA, Calif. -- A deadly crash involving a flipped car blocked northbound traffic on Interstate 5 Saturday morning just north of Panoche Junction, California Highway Patrol said.
Officials from CHP said a vehicle flipped over onto its roof, killing one of the three passengers inside. The other two people were taken to a Fresno-area hospital.
California Highway Patrol said the crash blocked the first and second lane of I-5 north, backing traffic up for miles.
At around 12 pm Saturday CHP officials said the roadway was clear.
