WOFFORD HEIGHTS, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The cause of death was released Wednesday for a 22-year-old Wofford Heights woman, whose body was found weeks after she went missing.
Brandi Tanner died of methamphetamine intoxication, and the manner has been deemed an accident, the Kern County coroner's office said.
Tanner was reported missing July 7 after she went for a walk following an argument with her brother, according to her father.
"At this point, it's just a nightmare that won't go away. And I need for it to go away," father Dan Tanner told Eyewitness News before the coroner's office positively identified his daughter's body.
The body was discovered July 21 on a hill not far from her home, and the coroner's office confirmed it was Tanner's body a few days later.
