Conservative talk show host Ralph Bailey calls it quits
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Ralph Bailey, a host for nearly a decade on conservative Bakersfield talk radio station KNZR, has resigned.
KNZR hasn't released a reason for the resignation. Fellow KNZR radio host Jaz McKay confirmed Bailey's resignation on air, according to The Bakersfield Californian.
Bailey's only public comment Thursday was a Facebook posting:
"It was with a heavy heart that I tendered my resignation to Buckley Radio today. However, future opportunities and challenges make it virtually impossible not to seek out new adventures. I would like to thank Steve Darnell, Kathy Baker and posthumously Rick Buckley. To my colleagues, I hope I was a team player who made the station and the client top priority and someone who grasped the concept of ...pulling on one side of the rope. To my sponsors, I hope I played a small role in your success and thank you for your support! And to my listeners, (and you know I'm blubbering like a baby, by now) you gave me a voice in this community! I pray you will travel with me wherever I go!!! Thank you all!! It's been an incredible ride!!!!"
Loved listening to TRBS coming home from class his humor and disgust for Obama was the best! However I still have Jaz McKay to listen too, a great conservative with great values. KNZR best radio station ever

Not a fan at all. Love Jaz McKay. Ralph Bailey seemed to think he was Gods gift to America....Not! He is a jerk. Don't let the door smack your rear in your way to KERN, Ralph. BTW KERN has nothing to listen to anymore.
Bailey had a left wing professor from CSUB on his show once, who was defending Hamas as a legitimate political organization.  When callers called in and pointed out that the founding charter documents of Hamas called for killing all the Jews and driving Israel into the sea, Bailey called them "closed minded" and "misguided".   So Bailey thinks Hamas is a political organization worthy of a seat at the table, not a terrorist organization formed strictly to kill Jews and Christians.  I wonder if Bailey would have the Grand Wizard of the KKK on his show to espouse killing minorities, then when callers called in to call the KKK a terrorists organization, Bailey would call them "closed minded" and "intolerant".   This guy's very dangerous, he thinks he's a lot smarter than he really is, but he's really just a self promotional bully and an egotist.  Howard Marcus cleaned his clock, Bailey kicks out anybody who can whip him in a debate, showing what a coward he is.
I heard he's going to KERN 1180 for the 3-6 PM slot, so where's Scott Cox going to be working now? Hopefully at the Niagara Car wash.
He probably got a higher paying job shining Obama's shoes or putting starch in Tiger Wood's underwear, either way good riddance to this former liberal Demonrat who spent his time telling local Republicans that if they don't start agreeing with liberal Demonrats, they have no future.  This guy was NOT a conservative, he was a pro-choice big government Republican who constantly blasted conservatives, praised big government liberals and tried to pull the Republicans to the left.   He even admitted that when Reagan was shot, he and his buddies at Moronhouse College  celebrated and partied.  Thank God this despicable phony is leaving our area, he can spread his fraudulent "conservatism" to other unsuspecting listeners elsewhere. Â

Ten years at KNZR and one morning Bailey decides to call his boss OVER THE TELEPHONE to say he isnât coming in today due to conflicting GOBBLEDYGOOK????

for the short time i lived in Bakersfield - i did enjoy listening to his show didn't always agree with him but i did appreciated him.

I was a regular listener, chatroom member and occasional caller to TRBS from 2008-2011. I liked Ralph's blend of passion for topics he felt strongly about and irreverent humor. He could be pompous and abrasive at times but he truly was and always will be, as he used to say, an overall good egg. Vaya con Dies, RB.

I am in shock and very sad that I won't have Ralph with me driving home everyday. A very passionate, God loving man that knew how to discuss hot topics. I'll miss you Ralph, please let us know where you end up.
