CarMax has dozens of job openings at Bakersfield store

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — CarMax says it's hiring 45 new service operations workers for its Bakersfield location.

The store, which opened in April, is expanding production space to accommodate more vehicle reconditioning work, the company said Wednesday.

The Virginia-based company, which calls itself the nation's largest retailer of used cars, sought about 50 workers when it opened its 41,800-square-foot store at Panama Lane and Highway 99.

CarMax is seeking applicants for full- and part-time positions. Available positions include ASE certified automotive technicians, experienced painters, reconditioning and inventory associates.
