BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — "Colin: Son, Marine, Hero" premiers at 8 p.m. Friday at California State University, Bakersfield's Doré Theatre.

The ballet is based on the true story of 19-year-old Colin Wolfe, an active-duty member of the military when he was killed by a roadside bomb in 2006.

The four-act ballet, "Colin: Son, Marine, Hero" stars Joshua Barnham, and was written by Wolfe's mother, Amy Grant Wolfe.

Tickets can be purchased at the door for $20, or through ballet.eventbrite.com.

General admissions is $15; veteran's admission is $12.00; active military members are free with military ID.
