KERNVILLE, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Dozens of families gathered in Kernville's Riverside Park on Saturday for the 26th annual Rubber Ducky Races.
The event was hosted by the Kern River Valley Exchange Club and featured all sorts of riverside fun, however the main attraction was on the water.
Participants paid $25 get a duck, and participate in the different races throughout the day.
Racers dropped their ducky from a bridge into the Kern River, and the first duck across the finish line in each race would win a prize.
All the proceeds from the event go to scholarships, prevention of child abuse and other youth related activities in the Kern River valley.
