BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - A big rig fire, which spread to grass, had southbound Interstate 5 traffic backed up for more than 4 miles at one point Tuesday afternoon near Grapevine Road.

All lanes have been reopened.

The California Highway Patrol said the fire erupted around 1 p.m. The CHP hasn't said how the truck fire started.
