The courthouse, 510 19th St., is considered a vital part of the Central Park at Mill Creek revitalization project. The GSA said it was designed to offer "sweeping views of the park and water landscape."
The $28.5 million, 33.400-square-foot courthouse is also designed to earn a LEED Gold rating from the U.S. Green Building Council.
Court hearings will begin next week, the GSA said. A formal ribbon-cutting celebration isn't planned until September.
Tenants are the U.S. District Court, U.S. Marshals and U.S. Probation and Pretrial Services.
