Bakersfield woman arrested on 65 counts of forgery, burglary

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Police said this week that they've arrested a forgery suspect after nearly a year of investigation.

Officers began a "major forgery investigation" in March, examining numerous business surveillance videos and conducting interviews.

Natasha Thompson, 29, was accused of passing numerous forged checks by using false names and bank account information.

Thompson was arrested Jan. 15 on 52 counts of forgery and 13 counts of burglary.
