Bakersfield man faces felony drug charges in Idaho
PAYETTE, Idaho (KBOI-TV) - Another day, another pot bust for Idaho State Police.
Last week, Idaho State Police say troopers arrested 36-year-old Jason Houston of Bakersfield, Calif., as well as 54-year-old Kevin Bennett of Glendale, Ore., on felony drug charges.
ISP says the two suspects were driving through Payette County when troopers pulled over the two on a traffic violation.
Troopers say they found a small amount of marijuana in the vehicle, but also found a large duffle bag, which contained seven bags of marijuana weighing about one pound each. (Photos of recent pot busts from ISP >>>)
Bennett and Houston were arrested for felony drug trafficking and were booked into the Payette County Jail. The weight of the seized marijuana was approximately seven pounds, with an estimated value of $17,500.
