BPD: Woman missing under suspicious circumstances

UPDATE: Bakersfield police released an update Tuesday, May 13, to the investigation of a missing woman, 34-year-old Andrea Ladonne Russell.

Russell was last seen at a motel. After reviewing multiple hours of video surveillance, detectives saw two men removing an object, which appeared to be heavy, from a room at the motel. Detectives are not releasing the exact description of the object in order to maintain the integrity of the investigation.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Police are asking for the public's help to locate a woman who is missing under "suspicious circumstances."

According to a department news release, 34-year-old Andrea Ladonne Russell was last seen at the Super 8 motel at 3620 Wible Road. A watch commander said that was around 1 p.m. May 7.

Two vehicles were seen leaving the area, and police released surveillance photos late Friday. Police said their involvement is not clear at this time.

The vehicles were described as a newer-model gray Chevrolet Suburban and an older-model, red Mazda sedan.

Russell is described as 4-foot 11, 135 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.
