BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - A man who robbed the Chevron Station near the old Mervyn's shopping center on California Avenue Friday night was caught on surveillance video and police are asking for help to identify him.

The man walked into the station around 9 p.m., pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money, police said.

He was then seen walking toward California Avenue and Chester Lane.

Police described him at 5-feet-10 to 6-feet tall with a thin build, brown hair and a light beard.
