Attorney will go to trial for wife's shooting death

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A DUI attorney will go to trial for allegedly killing his wife.

A judge ruled Thursday that evidence supports a trial for Mark Madrigali on a first-degree murder charge.

Trivia Madrigali was shot last June in the couple's home. She died the next month.

Madrigali told police that the shooting "was an accident," according to court documents. His wife was found lying face down in a pool of blood on the living room floor. Police recovered numerous weapons at the home and said Madrigali used a shotgun to shoot his wife.
