Flooding shuts down portion of Hwy. 58

KERN COUNTY, Calif. -- Heavy rains Saturday afternoon prompted the California Highway Patrol to shut down a portion of Highway 58 between Arvin and Tehachapi.
Just after 2:30 p.m. flood waters were reported to be more than 2 feet deep along Bear Mountain Boulevard and Highway 58, prompting the closure. Eastbound traffic on Highway 58 reopened just before 5 p.m. |
