WASCO, Calif. -- A 14-year-old boy told deputies that he considered shooting one of them "in the eye" during his arrest Sunday for robbery.

The unidentified boy allegedly pointed a handgun at two 13-year-old boys and stole their bicycles, leading to a chase with deputies.

Deputies unsuccessfully deployed a Taser on the teen before tackling and arresting him, the Kern County Sheriff's Office said Monday.

The suspect threw his gun away during the chase. The gun turned out to be a BB gun that looked like a real handgun, according to a news release.

After his arrest, the boy told deputies that he considered turning around and "shooting the deputy in the eye" but was afraid the deputy would shoot him if he missed, the news release stated.

The boy also reportedly told deputies that he felt like he was playing a live version on the famously violent video game "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" and that he felt like he was in an episode of the TV show "COPS."

The boy was booked into juvenile hall.
