BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Two people were stabbed to death during a fight at an ice cream warehouse.

The incident happened just before noon on Friday at the GMB Ice Cream Warehouse on the 600 block of Belle Terrace.

Bakersfield Police say some sort of argument broke out among a group of men behind the building, it then turned violent with three men being stabbed during the fight.

One man died on scene. The other later at a hospital. The victims have been identified as Bakersfield residents Moti Lal, 53, and Balwinder Singh, 54.

The third victim, Bakersfield resident Meeka Singh Mander, 62, was treated and released from the hospital for minor lacerations.

A fourth man, Narinder Kumar, 55, who police believe is a suspect in the case, was also hospitalized. Kumar was later arrested for two counts of murder and an additional count of assault with a deadly weapon. He has been booked into Kern County Jail.

According to police, Kumar is the brother of Lal and they were business associates.

An exact motive is not known. Police are still investigating.
