ANGELUS OAKS, Calif. (AP) — Authorities are trying to determine a motive for the killing of a maid shot to death at a religious camp in the San Bernardino Mountains.

The San Bernardino County coroner says 60-year-old Celebrada Lomato-Sexton was found dead Monday in a cabin at Camp Cedar Falls Campground in Angelus Oaks. A camp handyman, 30-year-old Leith Hamilton, was arrested for investigation of murder.

He remains jailed without bail.

The camp is owned by the Southern California Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. A spokeswoman didn't immediately know whether anyone else was at the camp during the shooting.

Angelus Oaks is about 80 miles east of Los Angeles.
