Frazier Park woman accused of animal cruelty
Kimberly Maggio was arrested on suspicion of animal cruelty Monday after being evicted from her home. Animal control officers found seven dogs, 12 cats and one rat living in "deplorable conditions," according to authorities.
Man, 19, faces murder rap from weekend party fight
Police have made an arrest in the beating death of a man over the weekend. Blayne Allen Clifford, 19, was booked into Kern County Jail early Monday. Patrick Matsuda, 40, was beaten to death early Sunday in southwest Bakersfield.
