4 women accused in drive-by shooting

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Four women were arrested over the weekend for an alleged drive-by shooting.

Markisha Williams, 27; Laboria Weldon, 33; Kaneisha Harling, 18; and Jasmyn Denwitty, 24; are accused in the Saturday morning shooting on the 1700 block of Quincy.

Witnesses gave descriptions of the alleged shooters and their car, which Kern County deputies spotted and pulled over. Inside the sedan, deputies found a .38 caliber handgun with one expended shell.

The sheriff's office didn't release information on an alleged motive.
