4 convicted in armed robbery of Bakersfield casino
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Four men have been convicted of robbing Golden West Casino in 2007.
The men were arrested in 2008 when they told people they planned to rob the south-central Bakersfield casino again.
Thursday, a jury found Jajuan Roberts guilty on four counts second-degree robbery and assault with a semiautomatic firearm. The jury found John Williams, Lynell Lewis and Deon Joseph guilty of second-degree robbery.
A fifth man previously pleaded no contest to charges and was sentence to eight years in prison.
The four men convicted on Thursday are scheduled to be sentenced in March.
