BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Four people have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting Wednesday morning.

Witnesses told police they heard arguing and gunshots in the area of Panama and 34th streets, blocks from Sam Lynn Ballpark and Bakersfield Memorial Hospital.

Officers found two people shot. One man, 23-year-old Christopher Gonzales, died. Another man, whose name was withheld, survived and underwent surgery.

Police made four arrests Wednesday night. Peter Collins, 29; Aloysius Asberry, 28; and Gary Asberry, 18; were arrested on suspicion of murder, attempted murder, participation in a criminal street gang and conspiracy. Mary Graham, 45, was arrested on suspicion of being an accessory after the fact.
