Body found buried in large Lake County pot farm
By Associated Press
CLEARLAKE, Calif. (AP) - Lake County sheriff's officials are working to identify a partially decomposed body found in a large marijuana garden off Highway 175.
Two suspects are in custody following a raid on the pot farm this week. Authorities caught the two men during a nightlong search of the area, and they led deputies to the grave site. The men, whose names have not been released, are currently being held on pot growing and weapons charges while the investigation continues. Authorities believe the victim was killed during the illegal grow of some 20,000 marijuana plants on the side of Cobb Mountain. They say the death may be connected to a missing persons case out of Santa Rosa. |
