Motorcyclist dies in crash with garbage truck

A motorcyclist died in a crash with a garbage truck Wednesday at the intersection of Hartford Avenue and Stine Road.

Jonathan Conner, 31, ignored a stop sign and pulled into the path of the truck when he was turning south onto Stine, according to Bakersfield Police.

Conner wasn't wearing a helmet and died at the scene, authorities said.
