By Associated Press
CARPINTERIA, Calif. (AP) - The suspected gunman in the shooting death of an Oxnard businessman has been captured by a special weapons team swarming a Carpinteria motel.
The Santa Barbara County sheriff's SWAT team and federal marshals arrested Jeffrey Aguilar early Monday at the Holiday Inn Express. He was booked at Ventura County Jail for investigation of murder and robbery. Oxnard detectives had earlier identified the 22-year-old Oxnard man, a gang member, as the shooter in the Aug. 16 killing of Gurmohinder Singh outside a US Bank branch. The 55-year-old victim owned several convenience stores. |
