A company that owns five local Pizza Huts may pay $500,000 to settle lawsuit
A company that owns five Bakersfield Pizza Huts has tentatively agreed to pay $500,000 to settle a class action lawsuit over allegations of missed meal and rest breaks.
In the suit, the Fresno-based company that operates under the name of California Pizza was accused of understaffing its Pizza Hut restaurants so that employees had to cut short or skip breaks. An attorney for the company confirmed a settlement had been reached, but decline further comment. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.) |
