2 arrested in investigation of farm equipment thefts

LAMONT, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - Two men have been arrested on suspicion of stealing farm equipment.

The Kern County Sheriff's Office says an uptick in Lamont-area farm equipment thefts prompted it to place a piece of equipment under electronic surveillance. That equipment was stolen Tuesday.

The equipment was tracked to the 8300 block of Fuller Drive in the Lamont area. There, deputies arrested 54-year-old Donald Christy and 38-year-old Anthony Sierra.

Both men were arrested on suspicion of grand theft and conspiracy.
