3 arrested, 20 pounds of meth seized

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Three people were arrested Wednesday and about 20 pounds of crystal methamphetamine was seized in he conclusion of a monthlong investigation, the Kern County Sheriff's Office said Thursday.

Detectives developed evidence that the suspects on the 600 block of Bridle Avenue, near South Union Avenue and Taft Highway, were involved in trafficking large amounts of drugs. Arrested were 45-year-old Harold Morales, 35-year-old Jose Alvarez and 27-year-old Frankie Gomez.

Officers also found processed marijuana, four marijuana plants, a loaded .357 revolver and evidence of drug sales, the sheriff's office said.
