Smoke shop owner accused of selling 'spice'
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Kern County deputies busted the owner of an Oildale smoke shop Tuesday for allegedly selling "spice," an illegal synthetic cannabinoid.

The drug officers served a search warrant at U Roll It on North Chester Avenue after investigating citizen complaints for a month, the sheriff's office said Wednesday. The complaints focused on quality of life impacts and alleged narcotics activity at the shop.

U Roll It's owner, Billie Odell Edmondson, was seen selling "spice" to a customer as deputies served the search warrant, the sheriff's office said.

Edmondson was cited and released on suspicion of dispensing the synthetic drug.
