Houses evacuated during 7-hour Stallion Springs SWAT standoff
TEHACHAPI, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) - Six houses were evacuated Monday as authorities set up a perimeter and tried for seven hours to get a robbery suspect to exit a Stallion Springs home.
The alleged home-invasion robbery occurred in the Tehachapi Police Department's jurisdiction. Investigators learned that one of the suspects was possibly at a house on the 28000 block of Braeburn Drive.
Officers from multiple agencies descended on the house in search of the suspect, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Office. The suspect, whose name was withheld, refused to come out of the home, so the sheriff's department SWAT team was eventually deployed.
SWAT members convinced the man to surrender. He was turned over the Tehachapi police.
Why don't we get to know who is involved here? It seems to me that it is much easier to understand what is happening on the mountain when we know what families are involved. If this is just more tweeker madness then it has little to do with the rest of us NRA supporters. Clue us in here KBFX, who, what, when where, why?
