BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A SWAT team helped Bakersfield police with a man who barricaded himself in his residence early Sunday morning after he criminally threatened his neighbors, police said.
BPD officials said that the man, identified as 22-year-old Fransisco Becerra Solis, committed criminal threats against several of his neighbors. California law describes "criminal threats" as threatening to hurt or kill another person.
At around 4 a.m. Sunday morning, the BPD SWAT team responded to the suspect's residence as 1001 Kyner St. Solis had barricaded himself in the southern Bakersfield home.
Upon entry, SWAT officials said that Solis had fled the residence before they had contained the property.
Solis is wanted for the criminal threat counts, as well as two outstanding felony warrants.
