BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The third and final suspect in a deadly weekend fight has been arrested.

Victor Palomares, 19, was located and arrested without incident Wednesday night at an apartment in the 900 block of West Columbus Street. He was wanted on a $1 million warrant charging him with murder, attempted murder, conspiracy and participation in a criminal street gang.

Jared Caywood, 21, and Oscar Martinez, 19, had already been arrested for the brawl in the predawn hours Saturday at Maria Bonita restaurant and bar, 10701 Highway 178. In that fight, 20-year-old Essam Hashem was stabbed, 20-year-old Christopher Rodriguez was stabbed and possibly shot, and 21-year-old Andre Onsurez was shot and killed.

The restaurant had hosted a birthday party the night before, and police said a partygoer and a patron got embroiled in a pre-existing dispute. They decided to fight after the bar closed. Police didn't specify who the partygoer and patron were or what their specific argument was about.
