The worker, who wasn't identified, was cleaning a trailer carrying residual crude oil when he lost consciousness. A coworker at the Golden State Highway and Knudsen Drive site found the man and apparently called 911.

Emergency crews found high levels of flammable vapors and low levels of oxygen inside the tanker. They worked to improve the air quality inside the tanker and then helped the man, who had regained  consciousness, out of the tanker.

The man was decontaminated, evaluated and taken to an area hospital.
