$1 million lottery winner sold in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A winning California Lottery ticket worth $1 million was recently sold in Bakersfield.

Gurdeep Singh purchased the ticket, part of the $250 Million Cash Spectacular game, at Derrick Liquor, 3215 Niles St. The store will receive $5,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Lottery officials didn't say when the ticket was sold.

Singh claimed his winnings at the California Lottery Van Nuys District Office. He plans to use the winnings to help his daughter through law school and his son through medical school, lottery officials said.
