Jim Pruitt responds Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2012, to allegations he has used another mechanic license number.
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Bob Dirocco, a mechanic for the Kern County Superintendent of Schools, called Eyewitness News, claiming someone else has been using his license number to inspect school buses.

Dirocco said he recently noticed an inspection sticker on a natural gas tank that he was inspecting. The sticker was from July 2011. It had his numbers on it but a different signature.

Eyewitness News discovered the signature belonged to Bob's Mobile Fleet Service Inc. A form filed with the inspection was signed by a man named Jim Pruitt.

We located Pruitt at his Arvin home. Initially, he denied doing the inspections but later admitted to at least one dating back to 2010.

CSA, the agency that conducts classes for licensing, told Eyewitness News that Pruitt's license expired in 2008.
