BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Some teens broke into a vacant home and threw a party Saturday night, and the owner of the home said police were nowhere to be found.

The owner of the home, who does not want to be identified, got a call from a neighbor early Sunday. The neighbor told him around 30 cars were parked outside and as many as 70 kids were partying in the house that he was getting ready to rent out.

Eyewitness News went to the home Tuesday and found numerous items, including a knife, dozens of beer bottles, mixed drinks, vodka, clothes, dirty tampons and marijuana.

The owner said he parked outside the home and started calling 911 around 12:20 a.m. After calling about 10 times, he said he thought about going inside to break up the party himself but decided to leave it to police.

It wasn't until around 2 a.m. when an officer showed up, but the owner said he left within minutes and nothing was done.

"They never called me, no report, no phone call, no communication," said the owner.

He also said he's concerned the kids were allowed to drive away when they could have been drunk or high.

Most of all, he wonders where the parents were.

"They trash my home, they trash our community, and 10 or 20 years later they'll probably trash our country," the owner said.
