BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- Pinnacle Property Management is being accused of not paying its landscapers.

Officials with Green Grass Yard Care, Alpha and Omega Landscaping and Marinates Landscapers said they are out thousands of dollars. Together, their records show Pinnacle Property Management owes them almost $44,000.

"They're in the business of turning these properties, and to create a profitable loss statement to potential buyers, they just don't pay their help," said Gerry Koop, owner of Alpha and Omega Landscaping.

According to officials with the landscaping companies, Pinnacle Property Management hires a company to landscape its properties but then doesn't pay up, forcing the gardeners to quit.

"When one gardener quits, they call another one, and they keep doing this as a routine," said Joe Little John, owner of Green Grass Yard Care.

Officials with Pinnacle Property Management declined an interview request Tuesday.
