America's Furniture store packs up
We have an update investigation into another Bakersfield furniture store. The man accused of more than a dozen felony counts of fraud has apparently cleaned out his store over the weekend.
For two years, an Eyewitness News exclusive investigation has details dozens of complaints against Juan Rios, the businessman in charge of America's Furniture store on Ming Ave. Eyewitness News has discovered from witnesses that Rios was seen this weekend with several large trucks cleaning out his inventory finishing up this past Monday. Everything is gone including any signs the business ever existed. The District Attorney's suit against Rios includes charges of perjury, forgery, intimidation of witnesses and victims and grand theft. Rios is expected to return to court in August. If convicted of all charges, Rios faces as many as six years in prison. |
