You may remember rob and Denise Crawford say their dog Murphy got out of their yard early in the morning on May 22nd.

That's when someone got hold of him and set him on fire. Murphy ran home where the Crawfords did their best to take care of him, but Murphy died.

Now a dog lover from the Humane Society has just increased the reward amount. It was previously at $2,500 dollars. But with the increase the reward is now at $15,000 dollars.

Police currently have no leads and are asking for any information.

If you have information regarding the case you are urged to contact the Bakersfield Police Department at 661 327-7111,
