Project Pit Bull: Are bans the way to go?

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Dog attacks have made headlines, leaving their victims with lasting injuries and lengthy recoveries. Many of the most serious attacks seem to be linked to one type of dog, a pit bull.

Some communities have even went as far as prohibiting ownership of pit bulls. Eyewitness News reporter Anthony Bailey traveled to Colorado and visited cities that did just that.

Do the bans work, and are they justified? Or are they a harsh reaction from an uneducated public? Hear both sides of the argument, and make your own determination.
