Black Friday is just around the corner, and now retailers have a new way to get people through the door: targeting customers through social media.
According to CBS LA, it's a process called "re-targeting," and it shows retailers what you are more likely to buy, based on your online interests.
Social media executive Ronette Kite said it has already begun.
“You’ve clicked on something you’re interested in, and then all of a sudden, whether you’re on your email or Facebook, you have an ad for something that you just looked at,” she said.
While some shoppers say the ads are annoying, others are finding it helpful to have the latest deals at the click of a button or in the palm of their hand.
