Public sounds off on proposed hydrogen energy plant
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The California Energy Commission staff and the U.S. Department of Energy held a joint public workshop Tuesday, Sept. 17, for the proposed Hydrogen Energy California project.

The HECA project proposed by SCS Energy LLC is located about 7 miles west of Bakersfield near the town of Tupman in western Kern County.

The project would be located on 1,106 acres of private land currently used for agriculture.
