The Kern County Sheriff’s Office is warning county residents of a possible phone scam involving the California State Sheriff’s Association Foundation.

The California State Sheriff’s Association Foundation has recently been advised that citizens have received suspicious phone calls that appear to be coming from one of their dedicated phone numbers, (916) 375-8000.

If you receive any suspicious calls from this number or the California State Sheriff’s Association Foundation, do not give out any personal information, such as social security number, bank account numbers, etc., and report these calls to the sheriff’s office at 661-861-3110.
