BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- California prisoners are in line to get the H1N1 vaccine, but they'll have to wait awhile.

The state's prisons will be receiving doses but only after those in the "target population" get their vaccinations, according to Ken August with the California Department of Public Health. The target population includes pregnant women, children and caregivers.

The Kern County Health Department says about 13,000 county residents have received the H1N1 vaccine so far. There is no set date as to when the prisoners will get their shots.
