BAKERSFIELD, Calif. -- A man was shot to death Saturday during a party at a home on the 200 block of T Street.

It was a typical Fourth of July family party until three teens reportedly walked up and one pulled out a semiautomatic handgun.

Five partygoers in all were hit.

One man identified as 37-year-old Anthony Mack Johnson was hit a number of times and died on scene. Four of the five people who were shot were visiting from out of town, including the man who was killed. He was from Jacksonville, Texas.

Bakersfield police said the shooting has no clear motive, and despite the number of attendees, the suspects' descriptions are extremely vague.

Police wouldn't say if the shooting was gang related, though they didn't rule it out.

The suspects were described as two black males and one black female in their late teens.
