Man leads U.S. marshals on chase

OILDALE, Calif. -- A local man is in jail after being chased by U.S. marshals.

It happened late Friday morning in the three hundred block of Lincoln Avenue.

The Marshals Service tell us Daniel Long hopped in a truck when officers tried to arrest him for a parole violation.

He then led officers on a chase through the streets of Oildale.

The Marshals Service says Long then dumped the truck in the one
thousand block of Wilson Avenue and then took off on foot.

He was later arrested and now faces several charges.
